Great buy for anyone wanting to easily aligne gas block. Marks on Genie do wash off easily. I saw on another review that it doesn't work well with adjustable gas blocks with gas screw protruding from front of gas block. I just set my marks at the end of this screw and it was all aligned correctly. Just waiting for the .875 and .936 sizes.
This little extra step takes the worry out of will my gun run right. You know its lined up right when you use this product.
If you have trouble lining up the gas block you need this tool. It easy to use and ingenious!
This is o one of those things one thinks how simple but efficient this invention is. It would take me a while to get the gas block lined up, marking with pencil, using a barrel dimple jig and other tools but always with the doubts if it was mounted right. This tool guided me to a perfect positioning and of course, a more reliable rifle.
It is the easiest tool to use. It’s a must have if you build ar’s
Works well, it feels as if it may be brittle. I'm a little afraid of breaking it and having to spend another 15.00 on a small piece of plastic. Maybe if it was a little more inexpensive I wouldn't feel like I'm going to break it everytime I pull it out. Great idea, just feels like it may break.
This product same me a lot of time and allows an accurate installation
Works on standard gas blocks well. However, it will NOT work on some adjustable gas blocks-such as the Superlative adjustable gas block. The gas port extends in the way of the index slot of the Gas Genie making it so you can't mark the installation position accurately.
Made installing my gas block a cinch but I had to modify the installation procedure because of my adjustable block.
